A valued aspect of the Lomandra School program is the opportunity for its students to access the "Outside Classroom". It is clear that students require particular skills to function and manage themselves in the wider community.
Lomandra's Outside Classroom programs address the need for students to connect with their environment, their community, their society and each other. This gives our students the opportunity to build their social skills in a variety of settings.
Students are given opportunities to make connections between different areas of learning through interdisciplinary activities such as camping, canoeing, geocaching, skiing, rock climbing and mountain bike riding which allow them to demonstrate their ability to apply their learning in challenging environments, by being resilient and work cooperatively with their peers.
